Nathan Blau, better known by his online alias Blau, is an American Twitch streamer.
Formerly a developer for Riot Games, specifically for League of Legends and Valorant, Blau transitioned into becoming a full-time content creator. He met and became closer friends with Offline TV and Friends during their roleplay sessions in Grand Theft Auto Online.
Background[]
Prior to being a streamer on Twitch. Blau was a game developer for Riot Games. When Valorant was in Beta testing, Blau began to befriend various streamers with early access to the game. Among those streamers Blau interacted with were those in the OTV circle, specifically OTV's three recent talents. Besides John, Jodi, and Sydney, Blau also played Val with Pokimane, Edison Park, and Starsmitten.
Career[]
Blau started his career as a game developer for Riot Games. He would also be a community streamer, interacting with the League of Legends community as an official representative under Riot.
After the period of Valorant's beta testing, Blau would appear most as a guest whenever he partakes in OTV-based games for the remainder of 2020. When BaboAbe created the OTV Rust server winter 2020, Blau was one of several streamers invited to OTV Rust. During the OTV Rust period, he was mostly playing on xQc's team ("Team Rocket"). Like his faction leader, Blau would play on both "Badlands" and "Divide" servers.
He left Riot in 2021 and later became a streamer and full-time content creator. Blau became closer to OTV the following year due to his presence in GTA RP. There, he first befriended Sykkuno (who was one of the first OTV-based streamers to join NoPixel).
Personal Life[]
During his clip war against Fuslie, one of Blau's viewers linked him a YouTube video of his college speech, presenting to parents of upcoming freshmen on what their children will expect attending.
Blau's speech revealed how he spent his childhood in Fort Collins, Colorado and graduated from Poudre High School. Blau then went on to attend the University of Chicago, double majoring in political science and psychology. During his college years, Blau was the goalie of his college hockey team and did a summer internship with the Peace Corps. Blau graduated from UChicago in 2014.
