Jaehyung Park, also known by his nickname Jae Park or his musical alias eaJ, is a Korean-American musican and Twitch streamer. He was a former member of Korean rock band Day6.
Biography[]
Jae took part in the first season of South Korean singing competition show K-Pop Star in 2011, where he finished in sixth place. After being eliminated, he signed with JYP Entertainment, one of the biggest music labels in South Korea, where he debuted with the label's first rock band, Day6, and gained wider recognition worldwide. During his tenure with the band, he co-wrote several of the band's songs. He also started his Youtube channel, "JaeSix," which showcased humorous vlogs from Jae's life in Day6 and South Korea, as well as interactions with fellow JYP celebrities. From 2016 until 2018, he was a host of After School Club, a live English-based K-pop-oriented talk show where Korean artists can communicate with international fans in English.
Starting in 2020, he released solo music as eaJ. After taking a hiatus from Day6 in 2020 due to mental health issues, he began streaming on Twitch, where he befriended Offline TV and Friends. He also became the host of a podcast, How Did I Get Here?, with fellow K-pop singer AleXa under the Dive Studios label. He also developed his own clothing line with Represent, From Friends, with its proceeds going to the Jed Foundation to help mental health in teenagers and young adults.
He took several breaks from streaming due to personal issues and controversies. Jae left Day6 and JYP in late 2021 and later returned to Twitch in mid-2022. In 2022, he joined Dive Studios' Mindset app and provided several podcast episodes to promote mental health awareness. He joined LilyPichu's first concert as a surprise guest.
