Kyedae Alicia Shymko, better known as Kyedae, is a Japanese-Canadian Twitch streamer and content creator. She is engaged to esports player TenZ.
Kyedae was introduced through streams of her then-boyfriend TenZ, where she learned how to play Valorant. She began streaming on her own as she became more skilled in the game, eventually meeting several gamers including Offline TV and Friends and grew her own following.
Kyedae is known for her Valorant gameplays where she is aiming to reach Radiant. She also regularly streams with her fiancé TenZ, where her offbeat, dirty sense of humor contrasts with TenZ's cleaner image. She joined 100 Thieves in April 2021.
Background[]
Kyedae's mother is from Japan and her father is Ukrainian-Canadian. She has a younger sister, Sakura, who is also a streamer.
She first met TenZ in high school, where they became acquainted. They entered into a relationship after hanging out together during a party.
Kyedae was first introduced during one of TenZ's streams, where he taught her how to play Valorant, which he competes for competitively; however she was not on stream as she was still camera-shy. She eventually revealed her face in later streams with TenZ, before being encouraged to have her own streaming channel. She streamed by herself for the first time on October 31, 2020, where she streamed on TenZ's computer.[1]
She later began fostering her own fanbase as she grew as a Valorant player. She has at times also streamed casually, often times sharing her home life with TenZ, such as cooking. Her younger sister Sakura has also appeared in some of her streams, often subbing when she has to take bathroom breaks or participating in their activities for the day.
She became acquainted with Offline TV and Friends when the collective began regularly playing Valorant, and she has often participated in their organized "Noobs Vs. Pros" where she participates with Offline TV as part of the "noobs" while TenZ is part of the "pros."
She joined 100 Thieves as a content creator in April 2021. She currently hosts two shows for 100 Thieves: the Boomer vs. Zoomer podcast with Peter Park, and the culinary competition/talk show Vinnie & Kyedae...with KNIVES! with Vinnie Hacker.
In August 2022, Kyedae revealed that she was the voice of Clo, the mascot of 88rising, for the organization's Head in the Clouds Festival 2022.
