Ryan Higa, also known as nigahiga, is a Japanese-American YouTuber and Twitch streamer. He is well-known for his comedy videos on Youtube and for being one of the first creators to gain fame on the platform, hence he is often considered a pioneering figure in Youtube. His nigahiga channel was previously the most subscribed Youtube channel of all time from 2009 until 2011.

Aside from his Youtube career and sketch writing, he has also ventured into acting, writing, and podcasting. He began streaming on Twitch in 2020, where he began playing OfflineTV and Friends, having met several of them through meetups and interviews in prior years.

On Ryan's main YouTube channel, nigahiga, he uploads scripted videos (except for the occasional I Dare You with special guests) like skits, music videos, or rants.

HigaTV is his second channel, a place where he uploads unscripted content like Bloopers and Behind The Scenes, Trip videos, I Dare You, TeeHee Time, Sean's Room, random games and challenges. He has called this channel his "freedom channel," because unlike nigahiga where he needs to meet people's expectations, he uploads whatever he feels like uploading on his second channel, including random videos or deleted scenes that weren't "good enough" to be on his first channel.

Twitch

Ryan started streaming on Twitch in 2020. As of August 6, 2021, he has 668K followers on his Twitch channel.

Ryan first met several OfflineTV members at a party, while he met Scarra after interviewing him for his Off The Pill Podcast. After starting on Twitch, he was invited to play with OfflineTV and first played Valorant with Scarra and Yvonnie.

• Several members of Offline TV and Friends are fans or know of Ryan from his early Youtube days, and some are often starstruck when interacting with him.
• Yvonnie is a big fan of Ryan from his Youtube days, and asked Scarra to let her join their first game with him.
• Ryan admitted that one of his reasons of his switch to Twitch streaming and his hiatus from making Youtube videos is burnout.
• Ryan's Among Us roleplaying character, Regina, is one of Ryan's characters from his Youtube sketches. Regina first appeared in 2009 in Ryan's Skitzo sketch series.
• One of Ryan's most expensive Twitch requests is asking him to say "TEEHEE," his catchphrase that always ends his Youtube videos. He makes it difficult to request since its high pitch makes it hard for him to say it.
